Welcome to the New "Age"

I have a million things to say. Each thought is bubbling up, eager to find its way to you. My hope is that over the next several weeks, months, and years, I will begin to unpack my thoughts and my heart with you in a way that resonates and brings new hope into your life. But for now, for today, I will simply announce the new intention of this platform and this community—and a new name to mark this re-imagined vision.
While we will continue to share stories (on our podcast) of women with an entrepreneurial spirit, we will now focus on voices over 40. As much as I believe that cross mentoring is essential to building each other up, I have found that the issues facing those approaching or in midlife are unique and deserve some much-needed attention. So I will use this platform to accomplish three things:
1. To share stories that enable you to create your own because I believe we must see (or hear—podcast) to become. We must have examples of what’s possible to help consider our own possibilities.
2. To re-imagine and redefine what midlife looks like. If you woke up this morning, you're not finished. It’s not over. There is more for you to receive, give and become.
3. To consider our individual and collective purpose. At a time in life when experience, wisdom, and self-awareness come into focus, many of us step away from pursuing anything new. Imagine a world where more and more women stepped into midlife ready to create, innovate, lead, unite, support, and heal. Imagine a world where her vision for a brighter future is pursued and realized.
I know I am not finished, but I do not always know what’s next. It’s been a long and winding road, and there are still unrealized dreams. I have more to learn, more to offer and more to become...and my guess is you do too.
So to mark my 54th rotation around the sun, I bring you LIBERTY ROAD. A space for us to consider our possibilities in midlife.
